The Canoe Creek Hydro project received financial support from INAC’ s Climate Change Initiative, and was selected as a success story for the ecoENERGY for Aboriginal and Northern Communities Program.

The Clean Energy Association of BC presented Canoe Creek Hydo Company with the 2010 Project Excellence Award, recognizing the success of the Canoe Creek Hydro project. Located in the UNESCO Biosphere in Clayoquot Sound, Canoe Creek Hydro is a model for sustainable development in the renewable energy sector.
